The Weekend =]

This weekend was insane. Saturday I had to wake up to go to a college open house for Drew University. It wasn't that good, and there was not one person there for the cross country team. Not even a coach. Like what the heck??? Lol. But anyway.
My family and used to go on weekend day trips up to New Brunswick and Princeton. This weekend after going to Drew we went to New Brunswick, and my God was it nuts there! It was the homecoming game for them, and everywhere you went there were swarms of people in the red jerseys. We went to a restaurant and we could barely even hear each other due to the people yelling and watching the game on giant big screen t.v.'s. So we left earlier than expected, considering we could barley get down the street.

Sunday was better. My dad and I did a 3 and a half mile walk around Cooper River in Cherry Hill for Juvenile Diabetes. It was nice to see so many people go out and help and walk for them. My mom has diabetes so I felt really good about it. It was kind of sad too though, because there were some signs for kids who have passed away and I saw some sick kids too. But it felt good to do good.

Hey Jess, I am surprised that drew University didnt have anyone for cross country and there was not even a coach Thas kinda odd. That was really nice that you did a 3 and a half mile walk for Juvenile Diabetes. I always feel bad for kids that are sick. they stil have their whole lives ahead of them. Its sad, oh, and i hope you get into High Point University, the school of your dreams. I think you will. You are a smart bright girl.

Hey Jess, I always knew that the movie version of Amnityville Horror was filmed in Toms River, off water st, but I never really had any idea what the storyline was. now that I have read your summary, i am adefinitely going to go get the book out of the library and read it. have you seen the movie and do you know if its as good as the book?

Horror is always heart filling subject, to me anyway. It's the most intense genre of any kind. The plot to Amityville Horror is well known, as of lately anyway. Yet, it has a sense of factuality. Even though most of the details are absurd, they're not wild enough to totally cast the tale as false. As you said, him witholding information just adds to the reader wanting to know more, to look beyond the book and make sure to understand every word. I know it was filmed around here, yet I'm not sure if the true story took place around here.

I've always loved a good horror story (not some sappy Harry Potter book that CLAIMS to be scary, I mean a real pants-wetter) and now I really want to take out this book. I almost feel a sense of pride that it takes place so close to here, and was filmed even closer! A demonic pig and other supernatural hallucinations would definately be in the tristate area. The book looks like a great read, and maybe Ill get to it once Im done reading "The Grapes of Wrath." Thanks for the review! Its the perfect book for halloween.

I read your summaty of the book "Amityville Horror." It sparked my interest because I saw soemthing on the discovery channel about ghosts, and there was a similar story where strange things happened in house because someone was murdered there more than a hundred years ago. It sounds like a really interesting book!
